The Art of the Shadarko

(if you can call it that)

On these pages you will discover the innermost thoughts and feelings found inside the head of the Shadarko, also known sometimes as Aaron Almanza.

On these pages you will discover images created by the Shadarko who also goes by the name Aaron Almanza. He's gone to several art schools, but mainly his craft has come from trial and error and from making his close friends "look this way, now that way, now be pretty!" Here you will find work in many different forms, because he gets very fidgety very quickly and always needs to try something new, even if he goes into it flying blind. He restlessly chases an ever-fleeting idea of what makes everything tick. Enjoy your time here and maybe you'll get a glimpse of it.

SCARF/ed for Affection

SCARF/ed for AFFECTION

You probably have seem them at a farmer’s market, at a hipster bar, a punk concert, catching a midnight flick at the Clay, listening to the Wave Organ, getting a coffee in the Mission, caught in traffic on 19th, waiting for the K Outbound, or searching in vain for an LP in the Haight.

SCARF/ed for AFFECTION are made from much loved, re-used, and recycled fabrics, trimmings, and buttons found in the Bay Area.  Each one is individual with his or her own personality and story.

Won’t you help find them a good home?
